Pool Cabana

Having recently purchased this property, the homeowners had a pool installed in the back yard. Adding a large, fully serviced cabana resulted in a resort like atmosphere.

First step was to prepare for an engineered concrete pad to form the foundation. Plumbing drains & water supply from the house were installed beforehand.

Wall framing and roof trusses in place.

The roof trusses form the basis of a 'pan style' cathedral ceiling.

Large openings were roughed in to accommodate the doors that overlook the pool area.

Tongue and groove planks were installed on the walls and ceilings to give it a rustic look. This shot highlights the varying roof angles.

A finished exterior view.

A two-piece washroom was placed to the side of the cabana. This was located here so that it could be accessed when the pool gates were locked.

A roll up shutter was placed over the natural stone bar, providing serving access to the pool from the kitchenette.

Looking towards the kitchenette, one can see the interior side of the roll up shutter (to the left in this picture). A natural gas fireplace was incorporated to take the chill off those early season evenings.

Light coloured stone tiles wrap the face of the fireplace to work in harmony with the natural stone tile floor.

One last look at the exterior from across the backyard shows how nicely it fits in with the pool and landscaping.
